If I Don't Get Back From Egypt!

If I don't get back from Egypt
My soul's being held captive
Taken by a storm
Bobbing somewhere around at sea
Pleading Heavenly Father
Please come and rescue me.

I cannot swim this great ocean
Surely I would sink down and drown
Here in this deep body of water
And my body would never be found

Take away the roar from the waves
That noise is much too hard to bear
Release the sunshine to hover over me
If only for one more time
Let it linger there
Where my soul can look upon it
And the warmth from its rays
Can rule the day
For somewhere over River Jordan
The earth seeks this clay

And, oh my Father
If I don't make it back from Egypt
Would not my life have been in vain
To never ever have the chance
To make it back home again?

O to make it back home again
O to make it back home again

And, if I don't make it back from Egypt
Send the little bird to meet up with me
So I can speak to it and
Get a sacred word back from Thee
Send a hoard of angels
To gather around me in the sea
And whisper softly with their wings
Sweet child, we have come to set you free

If I don't make it back from Egypt
Send the Scribe a word
That she may write my story
To remain on earth when my voice
Can no longer be heard

And~~~~~~
If I don't get back from Egypt, children,
Do not weep for me
My soul was not left in the ocean
I did not sink down and drown at sea
Look for me heavenward no longer on the ground --
And, once lost in captivity
God took pity on poor me. I am found.

So listen out for the wondrous song
That only one who is redeemed sings
No, you won't be able to hear me
But you will know the refreshing joy
Only that melody brings. Look and see.

God bless.

When will we ever realize we are one another's keeper to cover with the Lord's blood all who, like us, are broken and sinking in the whelming flood? We miss it when, each time it comes to call at our door, we fail to get up and answer that one who needs it more. God lives!

Yet how many act as if He does not?
Searching time. Teaching time. Mending time. Bending and breaking time. No more wasted moments. Fill up the empty spaces with you being where God can use you and be used of God when He calls. Who can understand?
