Happy Thanksgiving 2004!
I give thanks for knowing you
I give thanks to God for all the good you do
I give thanks each and every day
I thank God for Jesus because He is the only Way
If you do not know Jesus, get to know Jesus now.
You might say I do not know what I am talking about.
Think of it this way. Just suppose I am right and
you are wrong? That tug is drawing you nearer. Go.
Happy Thanksgiving Day 2004!

I Took The Test
And held it high for all to see
Against all odds and human mess
That test was meant to be
Once I settled in that task
to undertake
God took my hand and wrote
in his plan
Christ Jesus died for your sake
Not one portion was overlooked
When Christ in me took hold
Not one battle did He not fight
That sought to overtake my soul
For God settled every score
He knew the names of each foe
And, unbeknownst to any of them,
Each test was for their woe
God used their ugliness
To cleanse my soul from sin
So I could learn the lesson well
To wrap His trust within
Each time anybody struck a blow
The same thing they did to Christ
Jesus reached down and whispered low
Remember, my child, I already paid the price
I took the test for the Father!
I took the test for the Son!
I took the test for the Holy Ghost!
And God said,"The Victory's Won!
The Victory's Won!
The Victory's Won!
The Victory's Won!
Thank God for the Father!
Thank God for the Son!
Thank God for the Holy Ghost!
The Victory is Done!

My Heart That Is Breaking Song
I have a heart that is breaking
breaking for every closed eye that can no longer see
to walk upon the thick, thorny paths of life
where radiant red roses used to be
I have a heart that is breaking
breaking for every mother's child
for every son
for every daughter
who stood to fight the good fight of life
to stand up and fight not run
I have a breaking heart dear Lord,
that seeks to know
just how long the battle cried
and why did each season have to grow
so short
for each brave heart that died
Come up, come out, come away
far away
come aside and sit a while with me
come let us pray and let this be
our most heartfelt fervent plea
Oh Keep them safe
Keep them warm
Keep them everyone from harm
And, oh dear Lord,
high up in the skies above
wrap them in Your tender love
and bring them safely home
bring them safely to these fair shores
where we shall meet and greet them
oh so warmly meet and greet once more
with wide open doors
Come up, come out, come away
far away
come aside and sit a while with me
come let us pray and let this be
our most heartfelt fervent plea

The Summer of My Youth
When the fragrance from a flower was the perfume for my body
When the song from a bird was the music for my heart
When the light from the sun was the heat for my soul
When the light from the moon was the cover for my night fears
When each new morning signalled a brand new day to come
When tomorrow could not come fast enough
When I wondered if there would even be a tomorrow
I smell the summer of my youth ~
It lifts me up and away from the tomorrows that finally came
It carries me back to the yesterdays of my youth
It covers my longing to grow old and respected in my old age
It nourishes the motherlove and fatherstrength encased deep within
It comforts
It consoles
It consumes
It contains
It consults
It contacts
It continues
And, Lord, I pray it would always be thus.
For, in the summer days long gone are memories known to me alone
May the earth give them up to live on when I am in the earth among
the ones who knew what I have just learned . . . And that is . . .
The summer of my youth would never fade
with the winter of my days
I thank God for allowing me to be born in due season.
And I thank Him for allowing me to be born again.
If you live each day as precious to lose it along the way,
then God will retrieve it for you the moment He knows you have
gone astray -- away -- far removed from His presence, loving hand,
kindness, peace, forgiveness, and His heart of hearts.
You see, the day may be gone; but it is not lost.
Reach inside your bosom and retrieve it from
where He placed it. Bless you.

A Shepherd Woman's Heart
The Sound of A Whisper
releases a word in season
forever
Then
Oh how sweet the sound in the night
when all sound ceases
Then
We. . . We . . . We meet in the moment
where whispers drift
The end.
The Sound of A Whisper
Oh how sweet
The Sound of A Whisper
The Sound of the Voice of God
The Sound of a Holy Refrain
The Sound of Eternal Glory
The Sound of A Whisper is enough to wake the dead
who sleep on in Jesus
The Sound of A Whisper comes in the stillness
of your soul
The Sound of A Whisper
And that is all it takes
Oh when I call
The Sound of A Whisper calls in the west and
traverses the east
The Sound of A Whisper
Would you like to hear?
[Yes, Lord]
The Sound of A Whisper
walks into your spirit and comforts your soul
when you need peace
and none but Jesus knows
The end!

Drifting Whispers
I love the sound of whispers that drift in on the morning light
And stop to rest beside my pillow when my eyes are shut tight
I love the sound of whispers so soft, secret, and serene
That wake me gently wake me in rich fields of warm green
Lord? What is a whisper?
The whisper is a sound.
At the moment you hear it and turn to look around,
It is all too late for that sound has moved on into the air.
Would you like to hear it? [Yes, Lord.]
The moment the whisper has reached your ear,
Its job is done.
It is when you hear it and ignore it that it is persistent.
It tugs at your heart like a little child tugs at your skirt tails.
It takes hold and won't let go until you take it up to your breast
and hold it close.
It is where your ears meet up with My mouth, saith the Lord.
In that moment.
In that one moment.
In that precious moment is when we meet in Spirit and commune
One with another.
Then forever~
Jesus!
Praying as I go, because prayer is my fulltime preoccupation.
