The Windows Are Closing

The windows are closing.
The synergy between the here and the now has arrived.

Solitude is encased in the wrap around time called eternity.
Senseless trials and dreams have appeared to be so only
to those who have been bereft of trials and dreams.

Are there any such people?

Hidden away in their closets of despair, they detested
the freedoms that have eluded them. And, they didn't
even know they were there much less had passed them by.

The windows are closing and they have failed to hold them
open --- as if they could. Oh, if they only would.

The windows are closing.
The doors are locked from without and within.

Who shut the doors?
Who closed the windows?

Where are the panes?
Where are the knobs?
Where is the building?
Where are the floors?

The windows are closed.
The people are without remorse.

Listen To My Silence

Listen to my silence.

Through the clutter of life comes forth a clear silence
that is apart from the chatter of mere men whose voices
seek to compete with the heavenlies.

Dare my soul to utter even one sound aloud?

Shall my heart beat to the sound of footsteps coming
up behind me?

Were it possible, would these words inside my head
be made visible to those invisible who walk beside
my body?

Again and again I fight this urge to speak and
to break through the quietude of "my sitting down
and my rising up" with each brand new day.

Listen to my silence.

Listen to my silence when you touch a blade of grass
that lies in waiting for you to touch it as you pass.

Listen to my silence when you take a skyward glance
in the midst of the noonday. For, it shall interpret for
you every word ~ my silence to convey.

May the silences of your life reach out and take you
along with them into the new year, 2008.

Rivers of Love

Silent Whisperings . . . .
Rivers of Love
Rev. Lainie Dowell (c) 2007.

Rivers of Love.
Come and flood my soul and
Overtake this hatred that has washed up
Into the desolate shores of my
Life-long journey.

Swept up in the tides of pain.
Carried along by the pursuing grief.
Created by the cesspools of sin.
Mired down in the shame of flesh.

And,
Repulsed by the stench of death.

Rivers of Love.
Come cleanse this flesh.
Herein reside.
Herein abide.
Herein hide me in God's righteousness.
I want you to know I realize that everyday is not
a beautiful day. Most times it is neither pretty
nor lovely. It just is. But, we want every day to be
more than all the days that went before each day
that God sends.

I believe the most beauteous of all days is when
we awaken once more and thank God,for He has
done it yet again. And, even if we can only whisper
it to the wind and know it is carried from this place
to even the Holy of Holies, then we can rest in the
smile of that day, as we travel along the way.

"When your father and your mother forsake you,
then I will take you up," says the Lord.

When none but God understands,we can take delight
in knowing that is true and forget the silence that meets
us in return when we try to articulate that which even
we are unable to explain to ourselves let alone to another.

For, we walk in the footsteps of Jesus and press into the
deep crevices with each step as we go -- never once
realizing that it is not our feet that are touching the
earth, but His alone.

How do you walk in the footsteps of Jesus when your
feet are not needed in order to do it?
For, wherever Jesus is --- when we meet --
we don't need any feet.

God's walk in plain talk.
The inwardess of a new dawn in which
to press on towards a better day.

And just how is your day?
Jesus, Himself, paves the way.
Step into it and He will carry you this day.

Jesus? I heard my heart pray.
May I walk along with you today?

"No greater love has any (person) than this,
that they would lay down their life for a friend."

And, so it goes --- Even when that friend does not
believe their life is worth another's faithful sacrifice.
And, after all, did not our Lord give His life to pay
that price?

But, who can understand who is content to be alone
and still remain in that state even without God?

God bless you. God bless America.
God bless all who paid the ultimate price.
God bless all who cannot understand, to do so.

God bless us --- You, me, and we --
Who find a narrow space and move aside for
the Lord to enlarge it to make room for us to
receive more of God's grace.

Is your space enlarged today?

Even so, come Lord Jesus.
Amen, says the Amen of Amens.

Touching Heaven gently touching me praying,
as I go His way. In Jesus' name. Amen.

REMEMBER, Everybody is invited to share, as led.

The God You Serve Hath Heard

A Prophetic Word From The Holy Ghost
Rev. Lainie Dowell (c) 2007.

Though the midnight has come and gone
and with it in came the dawn.
All that was meant --- is not gone.

How refreshing to know that in the most
troubling of all situations there is a relief
for you.

God has heard your cries each and
every time you lifted up your voice in
His direction.

He heard and turned toward that place
and He drew near in the place where
His daughter awaited Him.

Though every trial can come in and
meet you when you least expect it,
God has never let you stay in it
without Him.

All you have to do is just look at all
the times He has been right there and
you will understand how much He does
care.

Though the winter of your days have
entered in at the summer and found you
oh watching as each season has come
and gone --- oh how God does hold the
season in abeyance to give you the time
to get used to the summer.

Spring!
Into His arms, My child --
for God awaits
that which is weary and in need of
calm,
quiet,
peace.

Though it may seem as if the last night's rest
was broken, Ah, how much more you need
to know that the Lord Jesus broke nothing
around you.

He has fixed every crack in your armor.
And He has replaced all of the pieces which
ceased to hold up the hinges.

Go out and come in no more with the gloom
and doom of life. For, I the Lord thy God,
hath performed in the Spirit all that you more
than ever have asked of Him.

HIM ---
oh in whom you have trusted.

Just a word to let you know I have heard you
and I have seen and now I have so decreed
unto you this day that it is in My name still
that you shall surely rise up and walk on in
the fulness of My joy, saith the Lord.

And, where you have heard, is where you
shall begin your freshest ever walk in
My name, saith the Lord.

Then say that I the Lord thy God
hath not done it! ~Jesus

My Faith Informs Me

Deep Whisperings. . . .

I believe because I see it when I can not see it.

I believe because God told me the thing is so.

I believe because the pull of "yes" is stronger
than the push of "no."

I believe because the air I breathe has never
ceased to blow upon me.

I believe because each turn I make draws me
nearer to God.

I believe because the enemies of my life are
scattered beneath my feet.

I believe because the din of mankind shall
never overtake the shouts of glory.

I believe because I just spoke it and I know
that it is so in that moment.

I believe because my heart repels and abhors
disbelief.

I believe because all of the suns, moons,
and stars of the universe dim and fade
away when the Son appears.

I believe because my faith in the Lord
Jesus Christ informs me that
"All things are possible to them
that believe."

Good morning, Beloved Women of Faith!

And you believe because . . . . ?
