The Water Refreshes Your Soul
Drop in and sit down.
The water runs from wells of which you do not know.
I have and I dispense the water that refreshes your soul.
Then whenever you need to find a drink from this well,
I will find you and dispense it.
The water of God's well is without stagnation.
It is without a place to bottle it up.
It can only be taken at the time it is needed.
The water of God's well is without bitterness.
It is sweet and it is refreshing.
It --- Would you like to know? --
It reaches out to pour forth the Lord's
richest blessings today.
If ever you want to drink from this well,
Call on Me, saith the Lord! I shall hear and refresh you.
In the moment you call shall you be refreshed. The end.
To the one who has not been refreshed and who
must be thirsty by now. The Lord God washes you
with His Living Water. The end.
God promised He'd never leave you nor forsake you.
It is true!

May this be the start of a great beginning for you
all both now and in the days and years to come,

And, through Him, we have a great big pile of leaves
to jump into and a warm, crackling fire to heat you.
Thank you for joining us.
In this time of Thanksgiving, we support all of our
troops and coalition forces, and our Commander in Chief.
Sending much love to all in this, our time

The Wind Says Jesus
The wind says Jesus
as it rushes through the trees
touching every branch and twig
and whistling through the leaves
The wind blows heavenward
breezes upward to the sky
far away to yonder Golden Gate
beneath God's watchful eye
The wind calls forth to angels
waiting near to God's Throne,
"Hasten nigh the Master's call
He who rules alone."
The wind stills to listen calmly
and readies to obey
Him who guides invisible paths
all along the hidden way
The wind says Jesus
and flows without cease
until the Master says,
"Hush, be still,
I send forth sweet release."
The wind says,
"Jesus, may I walk with Thee
and listen to Thy matchless voice
as You talk with me?"
And Jesus says back to the wind . . .
"Come now wind I want you to
carry this word and say it in all the
earth, I have heard ~ Such was My birth.
I walked and talked with men.
My flesh is the same as theirs.
But ~
I Am He who knew no sin.
I Am everywhere.
Soon all in all this earth shall know
My wind shall blow when I say,
'Go.'
There shall be no turning back.
For, when I left from upon the earth,
all things remained on track."
Beloved, Happy Sabbath Day (Sunday) to All.
May tomorrow find you and
May you find tomorrow better still.
(Remember, All are welcomed to share, as led.)

The Branch and the True Vine
Look past the voluminous pages called
lust for life.
Search over the rustling leaves called
faces from the past.
Sift through the rugged paths called
pride of the eyes.
Sit alongside the silent branches called
voices faded away with time.
And ~
Wait.
Look.
Listen.
Embrace.
The silence speaks of many things never
before made known, because all those voices
hid themselves behind the paths strewn with
pages from yesterday, which became over
grown by new leaves and stepped away.
And today walks right by the old without
notice of what was once brand new.
But yesterday shall be today's moment
when tomorrow appears.
And who shall take notice to lament a
longside the old leaves, when the new
leaves begin to fall without hearing the
tales the branches have waited for so long
to tell?
Ah, Mr. Branch?!
What a tale you have to tell.
Before the leaves.
Before your voices fell silent.
Before the paths of pages became twisted.
Before yesterday turned away from today
and tomorrow would not wait on time
forever.
Before tomorrow becomes today and
today becomes yesterday --
who will sit still and wait long enough to
know the One who holds all time?
The Branch and The True Vine keep all
time and wait.
Will you?
Hunger and thirst after Him who plants
the calendar and turns the dial on the face
of time for all time until He calls,
"Time! Be no more."
Growing deeper!
Lord, drive us deeper in Thee.
In Jesus' name. Amen.

Push My Boat Afloat
And In Memory of All Who Did Not
Push my boat afloat, Lord God.
It has become bogged down in the muck
and mire of life's byways and highways,
twisted trails, and those crooked pathways.
It lies somewhere off the beaten path where the
once sturdy and strong structures have collapsed
that had withstood but could not stand under the
weight of the storms.
Lord, I am not asking for a sail.
My boat cannot float.
It is stuck -- surrounded by the debris in dark,
muddy waters.
Closed off from the cool, clear,
crystal streams of glory.
It is choked.
In a struggle for air.
Fresh air.
But, Lord, if you would but send forth
just a puff of wind, I know that my boat
will no longer need to float.
It will lift off and sail far above that rubble.
And that one puff of Your wind will surely
keep my boat afloat, as it winds its way to
Your Thone.
Beloved, in the same way that Paul admonished, if you are
struggling in deep waters trying to make it in on bits and
broken pieces, then you can go a long ways on a puff of air.
When God is the One who puffs, just hold on to the bits and
broken pieces.
Your puffing will wear you out.
God's puffing will rejuvenate you.
Prayerfully,
And all God's children said, "Amen!"

Holy Spirit Brings Good News
for your path is not theirs.
Yes, there is but one way to My Throne.
Jesus Christ is the way. And, although you
meet others as they pass by, let them pass by.
Let them go.
Your goal is in the getting there.
That is a noble and true goal.
Do not allow it to be clouded over by all
the many side trips that come along
your path.
Fret not that your actions appear
to be nil -- and rightly so --
for it is not you who do these things,
but it is I who move ahead of you to
shield your activity from view lest
your enemies fully overtake you to
utterly block your every move.
Here, let Me show you this.
Touch My face and know I the Lord
thy God shall yet once more shield
you from sight.
Go, then, in peace.
I say again, "Fret not."

I Come As Softly As I Can
I come as softly as I can
Before the Throne of God
Who lives and reigns over all things
Wherever mankind has trod
Breathing ever so slightly
Filling my lungs with air
Spilled out upon the runway of life
Ahead of me, I stare
Splashed down from the nearest cloud
Where I look up to see
Under the deep, blue sky above
God looks down on me
Wondrous of all things
Golden, Pure and Holy
I see You, Father,
My God solely
Fresh steps await
I dare turn and stretch forth my arm
To reach out to my God for whom I long
I come as softly as I can
No pitter patter and idle chatter
I come as softly as I can
But no matter
Before I reach my destination
God whispers who reigns over all creation
My child, precious, dear, and sweet
Stay! For where I Am
You don't need feet.

The Mountainous Bride of God
How much are you in tune to the Lord?
The Mountainous Bride of God is.
And she knows when to move out to cover all
who need the shield of the Lord to cover all
over them.
Many times we are oh driven to be afar from
the face of God and, when we are is when
we need an anchor to hold us in place.
The Man of God!
Jesus Christ of Nazareth and all of His
power can oh how much it can oh surround
you and keep you from all harm.
Many times -- So many times!
We are ah making out of nothing a lot
of nothing.
Stand forth and listen!
The word of the Lord unto you.
Stand near that tree trunk and there shall
I come out to meet with you and ah how shall
I ah talk with you when you are nowhere near
to My mouth, saith the Lord God.
Washed in the blood and dressed down in the
righteousness of God.
The men and women who oh walk out of the
soldier force of God into the camp of the enemy
and Amen and wait there for the Lord to appear
shall never be alone -- without the Lord God.
Without the Lord God, there shall be no more
words to speak forth in all the earth.

Comfort Beyond All Oppression
Faith words are arranged in the order
of necessity.
Can you think of any that are more
necessary than these?
Faith carries with it uplifting power.
Faith has enabling power.
Faith has more power in its fulness and
does not diminish even in its smallest amount.
Faith Can Be Beautiful
when that one who possesses it - Ah -
will take a look and see Jesus!
Faith!
Walk over to that bridge and peer across that great divide.
Can you see it?
There at that midway point is the most wonderful
ever a person oh that man has ever seen.
If he would but step a little closer surely you could
see how much he looks like a man that would not leave
you comfortless.
This is that man who rules all heaven earth and
over all creation.
Where does he live, you ask?
His home is wherever He goes.
This man has nowhere to lay his head for He
neither slumbers nor take a catnap.
The wonderful news is this -- He is the Lord
of all mankind who believe and receive.
Watch!
When He appears unto that man or woman who
He loves, He blesses them oh by His presence.
The Man Who Cares So Much For His Beloved ~
Is the Son of Man.
Is the Son of God.
Is God.
Incarnate.
The word of the Lord God!
Telling it to you.
Worship Him and -- and -- and
find Him at His Throne.
The end.

Greetings, Dear Warrior Women of God's Holy Word ~
Isn't it great to know our God has already done what He said He would do for you?
Isn't it wonderful to know that everything God promised for your life He has already placed it in you?
Isn't it the best of all worlds to know that you live in this world but that your life resides in heavenly places beside the Master's Seat?
Isn't it so true that because God has blessed you that you can be a blessing for so many others, too?
Is it not but for the faith, hope, love, joy, salvation, peace, mercy, truth, light, and grace of our heavenly Father that we would have no ideas about anything?
Praise Him for He IS our everything when we think we have nothing.May God bless and keep you in His loving care,as He has faithfully done for so many others before you. Please remember them (us) in prayer and know that heartfelt prayers went forth for you.

Need A Friend? Be A Friend!
what we most need to know is
that we know we are not alone in this world.
I thank God He has seen fit to allow all
of us to fellowship here in spirit and indeed.
And as we daily stretch towards our Lord's Holy Hill,
we understand His love through prayer.
So we radiate it back to earth
all because He does care.
God bless.

Touching Heaven Gently Touching
Sometimes it seems to me as though the world's pundits and media believe it is they who make the world go 'round. Notice how with the recent death of Pope John Paul II, more media types are not cringing when their guests invoke the name Jesus during their online interview. In fact, most behave as if they had never known anything about Him -- as though the gospel lay dormant and only just became live and real to them and to everybody else. Not so.
Over the years, I have observed how the media and even many believers discredit the protestant ministers and extoled the virtues of Catholic Priests. When they want a "credible" word about faith, they seek out the "Father" and overlook and disregard the "Pastor." Is it my imagination? I do not think so.
To me it is like when I have to proceed in a court case pro se (on my own) against trained attorneys and they are the ones who have the "credibility" to stand before the bar of justice and are listened to for that reason. But, on the other hand, they can mess up a case and still be recommended over the pro se. You know what? This is not how God's children walk. "We walk by faith and not by sight." And, when we remain with our eyes on the Lord's face before us, then His wisdom and guidance leads us far beyond anything we never knew possible. Understand?
Touching heaven gently touching? When we touch heaven, then heaven gently touches us back. Thank God for Jesus! Have a blessed day!

I Must Get To Jesus That's All
I started out for the church to go
hear some church folk sing.
But when I heard the church bells peal,
my ears began to ring.
I saw the church choir mouths move.
I watched as they clapped their hands.
But I could hear no sound at all.
And then they began to dance.
There was a rhythm without any rhyme
in the sanctuary that day
As they mimed before my eyes,
I saw it was always that way.
And so, right then and there,
I turned my eyes aside and
I bowed my head to pray.
O Lord My God I cannot hear a
word these people say.
What must I do, O my God?
Should I go or must I stay?
I came inside to hear this choir
make a joyful noise in song.
I can see their lips move and
my ears listen to hear.
But, Lord, is this where I belong?
Can they not see how pained I am?
Can they not see me frown?
I am here in Your House, Lord,
but I can hear no sound.
For all is as quiet as a mouse.
You are not around.
Ah Lord God, when I open my eyes,
please let me know.
Must I stay here in this place or
should I get up and go?
Wait!
What is that precious sound I hear?
I know that voice which lingers near.
That melody is so full of life.
And now my ears are clear
But something happened while I had sat
praying in the church that day.
They had all gotten up and had gone home.
But I got to stay right there and pray.
And when I opened up my eyes,
I found much to my surprise,
I was sitting there alone
They had all gotten up and left me
sitting there when they all got up
and went home.
The Spirit of God lifted me up.
He embraced me in His arms.
My child, He said, I am here for you
For I heard when you did call.
I don't want no choir -- no song.
I must get to Jesus that's all!
His church is where I belong.

Slipping Into Sunday Morning
Never has there been a day that remains unlike
any other in the whole world.
There is just something about Sunday morning.
Even when the sun fails to appear, the Son shows up.
Even when the children's laughter is hushed,
the strains of their hearts ring out loud and
clear through the open strands of life's frail gates.
Even when all the people gather and sit close and
yet far apart from one another's spirit, the Spirit
of spirits comes in and draws each of them closer
through His own Spirit.
Even when all of the noises from within and without
try to shut out the whispers of loving kindness from
above, the Whisperer appears and shuts all of those
noises up and out.
Even when the close of Sunday gives way to another
Monday, Sunday breathes enough breath to purify
every passing hour that fades into night with each
going down of the sun to bring forth a brand new
Sun Day.
Slipping into Sunday Morning is like
free falling into a great big vat of honey ~
It is so sweet and
It sticks far past Monday
On thru to the next Sunday morning.
And so . . .
When you slip into the pulpit chair and watch
for the Lord as the people slip into their pews,
prayerfully slip your hand up and let God slip His
own hand into yours.
I am slipping but not sliding. . .

The Rivers of God And The Rivers of Man
Lord? How do you tame a river?
That question is as old as the river that refuses to be harnessed ~
refuses to be kept under control by man.
We are at the mercy of God alone.
No dam can block the flow.
No mere cage is able to contain that flood.
The river that can be controlled by man is only a stream.
And that cannot be restrained for but for so long.
Without God's voice to halt the flood ~
that river will come up and overflow its banks.
What man thought was recreation and forgot that the
river has life to be cared for, also, has become plain.
Rivers that wash away mountains reveal the
rushing water of God's own mouth.
The power of God is uncontrolled by anyone.
Rivers that found a way to wake up all mankind.
Though all of the earth belongs to God ~
man has made himself a god who oh can make a river.

One More Safe Crossing
There are so many twists and turns through this course
called life. But, somehow, we seem to always make it through.
Seasons come and seasons go.
Days turn into night and night turns back into day again.
The stars twinkle and they shine when the sun shines high up
in the heavens.
And, when the sun goes down to the other side of earth,
the moonlight appears to take up its place like clockwork.
In fact, the clock works as timely as the seasons of life.
These things change but yet our God never changes.
He is consistently as changeless as He is matchless.
And, just as candlelight, as small as it is, flickers and
pierces the dark night ~ so, too, does the appearance
of God shines forth and dispels every dark spot.
For, when our God appears, then the brightest day
or night ever before known is sure to come with Him.
At His command and by the clap of His hands,
earth quickly steps aside and lets the heavens abide
there in its place.
Then, with our hearts filled with gratitude,
we assume a worshipful attitude.
And, bowing low upon our face,
we sing forth praises before God's Throne
filled with grace.
God, we worship You, alone.
For above all Your creatures great and small ~
You have loved us the very best of all.
Thank You, one more time, Lord Jesus,
for one more safe crossing.

I Am Desert Walking
Rev. Lainie Dowell
Let us go out to the desert.
We can get some rest.
But, before we do that,
we have to prepare.
Because ~
- The air is hot and dry in the desert
- The desert is barren and friendless
- The shade is nowhere to be found
- The water is hidden from view,
if there is any around anywhere
- The night is colder than the daytime
is hot
There. . .
What you have is an overview.
Somewhat of a scaled down look at
what awaits your trek to the desert.
And, if you should take your family
and friends along for the sake of
companionship when you arise from
your rest ~ well, then, do not expect
to have much of a rest?
And, you can forget about the thanks
for allowing others to accompany you
to the desert. Grumbling, mumbling . .
Scripture calls it murmuring and complaining.
Ask the Israelites.
Bowlegged time is at hand.
Cross-eyed time is here.
Run-you-ragged-and-silly time.
Rest?
Forget it.
Did you not know there is no rest for the weary?
That is an old adage to be sure, but it is also
a truism nevertheless.
If cool, calm, and collected time is what
you are after,
If reflection time is your aim,
If need-to-be-alone time is your heart's desire,
Then~
Clothe yourself in God's righteousness.
Wrap up in His mighty presence.
Dress down in your appearance.
It is filthy rags, anyway, and all of your
garments are covered with sin
instead of stained by Jesus's blood.
And~
If you have not believed and received
Jesus as your personal Savior and as
the Lord of your life,
Then ~
You will forever remain parched in a
desert land crawling all around on
sinking sand.
It is just so good to get away and to know
you are not alone in the desert.
